Cooper-Garrod Estate Vineyards

Garrod Farms, established in 1893, is a family-owned and operated estate winery and stables located in the scenic Saratoga foothills, just minutes from Silicon Valley.

The Garrod family began their agricultural journey by purchasing 66 acres from the Mount Eden Orchard and Vineyard Company. Initially, they produced dried prunes and apricots in what was then known as 'The Valley of Heart’s Delight.'

As the region transitioned from agriculture to development in the late 1950s, the family shifted gears to create an equestrian center. They offered boarding, trail riding, and lessons to visitors.

Today, Garrod Farms features a winery that produces 100% estate-grown wines and continues to offer a variety of horseback riding experiences, making it a unique spot for both wine lovers and equestrian enthusiasts.
