The winery was established in 1980 by Jerry and Joyce Cain. Its history includes planting its first vines shortly after purchasing the historic McCormick Ranch.
The winery is known for its flagship wine, Cain Five, which is a blend of five classic varietals.
Over the years, Cain Vineyard & Winery has faced challenges, including the devastating Glass Fire in 2020. Despite this, it has shown resilience through replanting efforts and a strong commitment to quality.
