Black Sheep Winery, established in 1984, is known for bringing Rhone varietals to the Calaveras County Foothills.

The winery produces about 2,500 cases of wine each year, focusing on small batches of limited release wines made from high-quality grapes. These grapes are sourced mainly from Calaveras and Amador Counties.

Located in a historic farmhouse on Main Street, Black Sheep Winery has received numerous awards for its wines, including Chardonnay, Cinsault, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and a Port-style dessert wine.
