Bigsby's Folly Craft Winery

Historic 1886 building in RiNo featuring full-production winemaking, Roaring 20s-inspired tasting room, and restaurant

Best known for: Custom blending sessions and small-batch vintages.

Bigsby's Folly transformed a 130-year-old former manufacturing building (J. George Leyner Engineering Works, built 1886) into one of Denver's most distinctive urban wineries. Located in the River North Art District, the winery combines full-production winemaking with a restaurant and event venue featuring soaring 30-foot ceilings, 10-foot chandeliers, and modern-industrial chic design inspired by the Roaring 20s.

Established in 2017, Bigsby's sources grapes from prestigious California and Oregon vineyards as well as Colorado's wine regions, crafting red, white, and rosé wines available in traditional bottles, plus innovative canned and kegged formats. The winery offers various tasting experiences from standard five-wine flights with food pairings to reserve tastings and custom wine blending sessions where guests create their own blends.

Unlike traditional winery tasting rooms, Bigsby's operates as a full restaurant with lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch service, plus a complete bar menu featuring cocktails and beer alongside their wines. The versatile 7,000-square-foot space hosts private events for groups ranging from 15 to 300+ people, making it a popular venue for weddings, corporate gatherings, and celebrations.

The location's proximity to the 38th & Blake light rail station provides easy access from downtown Denver and Denver International Airport, making it one of the city's most transit-accessible wineries.
