Baker Buffalo Creek Vineyard & Winery
Historic farmstead with mini milk bottle tastings
Best known for: Diverse selection of wines and local craft beer
Baker Farm and Winery, located in Lawndale, North Carolina, is celebrated for its diverse selection of over 15 different wines, including semi-sweet, dry, red, white, pink, fruity, earthy, bold, fresh, floral, and spicy varieties.
The winery, established in 2009, is nestled in the fertile soil of Cleveland County's rolling hills and is named after Buffalo Creek, which winds through the property.
Owned by the Baker family for over 175 years, the farm transitioned to a winery in 2003. It offers a picturesque setting for wine tastings, picnics, and special events, featuring a historic homestead, a restored mule barn, and the original milk house that now supports winemaking operations.
Visitors can enjoy a unique 4-flight wine tasting experience served in mini replica milk bottles, honoring its history as a dairy farm.
The winery also supports local craft brewers, frequently rotating their beer offerings, and provides a welcoming atmosphere for families and dogs.
