Altipiano Vineyard

Altipiano Vineyard & Winery is located in Escondido, California. It is co-owned and operated by Denise Clarke, who was previously a Human Resources professional and served as a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Denise has taken on the role of Executive Winemaker, focusing on Italian varietals like Estate Brunello, Barbera, Super Tuscans, Primitivo, Nero D’Avola, and Aglianico. The winery processes around 20 tons of fruit each year and has built strong relationships with other viticulture areas to source high-quality fruit for its offerings.

Denise has been recognized as a trailblazer among female winemakers in San Diego County. She has earned several international awards, including a Double Gold for her 2015 Zinfandel at the 2017 San Francisco International Wine Competition.
