Alder Springs Vineyard
High-altitude vineyard with rugged terrain and microclimate diversity
Best known for: World-class wine grapes from unique terroir
Founded by Stu Bewley in the early 1990s, Alder Springs Vineyard is located in the rugged, high-altitude terrain of Mendocino County, California.
The vineyard spans 140 acres with 31 individual blocks of vines, each planted in its optimal microclimate.
Known for its steep slopes and fractured soils, the vineyard benefits from a unique combination of coastal influence, altitude, and excellent drainage.
This meticulous approach to grape growing results in wines that are both distinctive and highly sought after.
Although not open to the general public, winemakers can arrange visits by appointment to explore the vineyard's potential for their next vintage.
