Airfield Estate - Woodinville
Historic aviation-themed estate with panoramic vineyard views
Best known for: Estate-grown wines with aviation heritage
Airfield Estates is a family-owned and operated winery and vineyard located in the heart of the Yakima Valley, Washington State’s oldest established AVA.
The winery has a storied history that dates back to 1907 when founder H. Lloyd Miller settled in Sunnyside, Washington. Initially engaged in real estate, Miller acquired the estate vineyard site by 1920 and played a crucial role in bringing irrigation to the Yakima Valley.
During World War II, a portion of the property served as a training base for Army Air Corps pilots. After the war, the site transitioned into a diversified farm, and in 1968, the family planted their first wine grapes.
Today, the estate vineyard spans 830 acres and includes over 20 different varietals. The winery is celebrated for crafting well-balanced wines that reflect great varietal expression and quality, honoring its aviation heritage through a wide range of 100% estate-grown wines.
