Ackerman Winery, located in the historic Amana Colonies, is proud to be the oldest operating winery in Iowa, having been established in 1956.
It all started in the basement of Harry and Louisa Ackerman's home, where they produced small batches of Concord Grape and Rhubarb wines.
Over the years, the winery has grown significantly, now producing over 15,000 gallons of wine annually and offering a diverse selection of more than twenty different styles of wine.
The winery continues to honor its rich history while crafting high-quality fruit and grape wines for enthusiasts and visitors alike.
Visitors can enjoy a welcoming atmosphere and participate in various events and tastings throughout the year.

Monday – Friday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Saturday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Sunday: 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
