Wyoming’s first winery, Table Mountain Vineyards, was established in 2004 after the vineyard’s owner, Patrick Zimmerer and his sister Amie, won the University of Wyoming College of Business 10K Business Plan Competition. With the infusion of money, Patrick was able to start producing wines from the experimental vineyard that he had planted three years earlier as part of his senior thesis. The winery produces a number of different wines from 100% Wyoming grapes, raspberries, honey and agricultural products. Table Mountain Vineyards has been joined by two additional wineries, both of which are located in the northwest corner of the state near Jackson and Yellowstone National Park.
