Wahluke Slope was recognized as an AVA in 2006, and along with Red Mountain, is one of the warmest grape-growing locations within Washington. This warm, dry climate produces excellent, full-bodied Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. Semillon is emerging as the region’s white wine star. Well known Wahluke Slope vineyards include Milbrandt, Indian Wells and Desert Wind.
