The Fiddletown AVA is located in Amador County in the Sierra Foothills at elevations from 1500 to 2500 feet. Compared to nearby Shenandoah Valley, Fiddletown wines are typically less full bodied and ripe. Although there are only a couple of wineries in Fiddletown, its grapes are used to produce some of the country’s best Zinfandel.
