The Review
Off the beaten path of Main Street, La Buena Vida Vineyards offers a cool oasis to escape the Texas heat and enjoy wines from Springtown, Texas.
The Place:  With a partially-covered flagstone patio, lush arbors, and tinkling Spanish, blue and white tiled fountains, La Buena Vida is a welcomed retreat in Grapevine. Ample parking is available as it is just a minute away from Main St. With over 4,500 square feet of patio space, as well as a 1,200 square foot covered pavilion and air misters throughout, you can relax and listen to live music on the patio and catch the cool breezes. If you prefer to stay indoors, you can slip into the dark wood cavern of a tasting room and take a seat the antique bar or one of the tables draped in golden tablecloths that lend the room an old world feeling.
Sprinkled with wrought iron tables as well as fire pits for those cool evenings, the patio at La Buena Vida is popular for the weekend crowds. Some visitors bring a picnic lunch and make a day of it; others munch on appetizers like the Chicken Pesto Panini and settle in at the bar. Still others stroll around to the back and stroll through the demonstration vineyards.
The Experience:  When you step into La Buena Vida, it immediately puts you into a nice party mood. Well trained in the qualities of wines, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive to your wishes. The bands that play on the patio are fun and engage the audience. Its not uncommon to see couples dancing to the music and laughing with the band members. Some visitors bring in a board game to play over wine and appetizers. Whatever you choose, the staff will make you feel at home for as long as you want to stay. La Buena Vida is equally popular with both locals and visitors so weekends always bring out the crowds. But, at La Buena Vida, crowds just mean more fun for all.
The Wines:  La Buena Vida offers six wines from their vineyards in Springtown, Texas as well as wines from their sister winery, La Bodega. You can taste three wines for $9 and pours are generous. In addition, you can choose to build your own flight of Texas, California, or Argentine wines. For a hot day, try the Red Headed Stepchild, a light sangria with the soft, sweet taste of berries. If you are looking to take home a bottle, try their Blonde Bombshell for $18 or the LBV Chardonnay for $14.
Insiders Tip:  Music on the patio is offered every Saturday from 2-5pm at La Buena Vida and the bands and wine are worth the visit. Bring a picnic basket and relax to jazz, blues, and other instrumental styles. Also, dont forget Thirsty Thursdays from 6-9pm where both wine and music flow freely.
